Direct Primary Care In-Office Procedures & Services

To provide you with the affordable, accessible care you need when you need it, we offer a wide variety of medical procedures and services right here in our direct primary care office for no additional cost. We also offer additional services at reduced rates or only require the cost of medication or supplies, and we will always discuss price with you before performing a service.

EKG

An electrocardiogram, or EKG, is a monitor that records cardiac electrical activity. This is a completely Durham direct primary care officepainless, non-invasive medical procedure where we use adhesive sensors externally to get a clear look at your heart activity. We can look at the results almost immediately, then sit down and discuss them.

Skin Biopsies and Lesion Removal

Whether you have a skin tag you’d like removed, or you have a spot on your skin that looks suspicious, we can take care of it right in our office in just a few minutes. If you receive a skin biopsy, there will be a small lab fee to test the sample, but we will discuss it prior to your procedure.

Incision and Cleaning Abscess

When an abscess, also called a boil, occurs, the area is red, inflamed, and painful. While antibiotics help, for it to truly heal, it needs to be opened and drained. We can perform incision and drainage here in our office and clean the area to facilitate healing.

Suturing and Laceration Care

Instead of waiting at the emergency room or urgent care for stitches, if you need an injury taken care of, reach out to us at Doc Matt Direct. We can stitch up cuts and provide appropriate wound care so you can get back to your day faster.

Ear Irrigation and Buildup Removal

If you’re having difficulty hearing, acute ear pain, or feeling pressure, there may be a buildup of earwax, called ear cerumen, that’s causing the issue. Irrigation safely flushes out any buildup of wax in the ear canal without causing trauma or potential for injury.

Joint Injections

To ease the pain of tendonitis, bursitis, and arthritis, cortisone injections in the joint are safe and effective, and available as an in-office medical procedure. Note: A small fee for medication may be charged.
